Create a workspace

A workspace groups everything for one client or site — its containers, domains and team access — so separate projects never mix.
What a workspace is
Every container, custom domain and team member in TagVolt lives inside a workspace. Think of it as a clean room per client or project: people you invite to one workspace see only that workspace, and its containers stay separate from everything else in your account.
If you track a single site, one workspace is all you need. Agencies typically create one workspace per client.
Create the workspace
- Open the workspace switcher in the app and click New workspace.
- Name it after the client or site it will hold — Acme Store beats Workspace 2.
- Click Create. The new workspace opens, ready for its first container.
A new workspace starts empty. The usual next step is to create your first container inside it.
Keep clients separate
Running multiple clients from one account works best with strict boundaries:
- Each client's containers, domains and logs stay inside their own workspace.
- You can invite a client into their own workspace without exposing any other client.
- Offboarding is clean — remove someone from one workspace and nothing else changes.
Once the structure is in place, invite team members to each workspace and set what they can do with roles and permissions.
