Create your first container

A container is your own server-side tagging environment — creating one takes a minute, and TagVolt handles the provisioning for you.
Create the container
- In the app, open your workspace and click New container.
- Give it a clear name — for one site per container, the site name works well.
- Click Create. TagVolt provisions the container and shows its status on the dashboard.
A container starts on TagVolt's own domain, so you can test right away. For production tracking, connect your own subdomain next — see Add your custom domain.
Connect it to your tags
Your container has a URL that browser tags and platform integrations send events to. In your website's tag setup, point the server container URL at it — the exact steps per platform are in the tag setup guides.
Check it's receiving events
Open the container's Preview mode and load your website in another tab. Incoming requests appear live, so you can confirm events arrive before flipping anything to production.
